Rick is Vice President and co-owner of R.H. Barringer Distributing, a large multi-location beverage distributor located in North Carolina. As a third-generation family owner, Rick has helped build on the legacy of his grandfather, making R.H. Barringer into a broadly diverse distributor of beer, wine, and other alcohol and non-alcohol beverages.

Fresh out of college with a BSEE and MBA, Rick spent ten years in California in high tech sales and marketing before rejoining the family business in 1991. As an avid home brewer and the Company’s first Certified Cicerone®, Rick guided R.H. Barringer beyond just domestic and import beer to become the dominant North Carolina distributor of Craft and Specialty beer and malt beverages. The Company branched out to become a full portfolio wine distributor through its acquisition of American Premium Beverage in 2007 and has since added a wide range of non-alcohol and other specialty beverages.

R.H. Barringer has rapidly expanded into the Hemp-derived beverage category with the addition of an industry leading group of Supplier partners. Rick is a self-professed ambassador for Hemp-derived beverages and has spoken publicly and in the media about the exciting benefits and future of this exploding segment. His passion is building flexible, change-oriented teams and efficient, effective business structures and processes.
